Duhai Hati..

The Prophet's Final Sermon (Arabic: خطبة الوداع, Khuṭbatu l-Wadā)

The Farewell Sermon (Arabic: خطبة الوداع‎, Khuṭbatu l-Wadā), also known as the Prophet's Final Sermon or The Last Sermon, was delivered by Muhammad on 9 Dhu al-Hijjah, 10 AH (632) in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat (in Mecca, seventy-two days before his death, at the end of his final pilgrimage.

The Farewell Sermon is mentioned in almost all books of Hadith. Sahih Al-Bukhari refers to the sermon and quotes part of it. Ahmad ibn Hanbal gave the longest version of this sermon in his Musnad.

Prayer before Sermon
"All praise is due to Allah, so we praise Him, and seek His pardon and we turn to Him. We seek refuge with Allah from the evils of ourselves and from the evil consequences of our deeds. Whom Allah guides aright there is none to lead him astray; and there is none to guide him aright whom Allah leads astray. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, the One, having no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and to Him is due all praise. He grants life and causes death and is Powerful over everything. There is no God but Allah, the One; He fulfilled His promise and granted victory to His bondsman, and He alone routed the confederates (of the enemies of Islam)."

Actual Sermon
"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of everyMuslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no-one, so that no-one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allahhas forbidden you to take usury, therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to ‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib [Muhammad's uncle] shall henceforth be waived...

Beware of Shayṭān (Devil), for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in zakat. Perform hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Hawwāʾ, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qu'ran and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed Your message to Your people".

Nine reasons why we must plan for Ramadan

In The name of ALLAH, The Most Merciful, The Most Gracious..

Why We Must Plan For Ramadan?

Ramadan Have you noticed that each year, Ramadan goes by faster and faster..
This blessed month can’t be left to become a blur in our memories. It has to be more than that time of the year we squeeze in fasting amongst the other things we do daily.

One way to make the most of Ramadan is to plan beforehand.

Here are nine reasons why you should plan for Ramadan:

Reason 1: To be in “Ramadan mode”

By planning for Ramadan before it arrives, you put your mind in “Ramadan mode”. If you plan, you will mentally prepare for it, and it will force you to see it as the special month it is outside of your regular routine the rest of the year.

Reason 2: To adjust your schedule

By planning in advance, you can adjust your work, sleep and meal schedules in such a way as to make time for Suhoor, Iftar, etc. That means, for instance, that if you normally go to bed at midnight, in Ramadan you would sleep earlier in order to get up early for Suhoor. Or if you usually study late, you can instead sleep earlier and start studying after Sahur in the early morning hours. Planning in advance allows you the luxury to make time for the change in schedule that Ramadan brings.

Reason 3: You can plan Ramadan family time

Is dinner time usually an individual affair in your home, as opposed to a time the whole family eats together? Are Friday evenings the time every family member goes off to his/her own social activities? Planning in advance can change this at least in Ramadan. Calling a family meeting about a month in advance, explaining the importance of Ramadan, its implications for the family and the need to eat Iftar together when possible as well as to attend Tarawih prayers, for example, will allow all family members to adjust their work and school schedules accordingly. That will, InsyaALLAH, make Ramadan a blessing not just to every person in the family, but to the family as a whole.

Reason 4: To make the menu

While Ramadan may mean extra Ibadah to some of the brothers, it usually means extra cooking for most of the sisters. Ramadan’s blessings are for men and women. Making a Ramadan menu for Iftar and meals, and working out when you want to invite relatives, neighbors and friends for Iftar will give sisters the opportunity to catch Tarawih and various other advantageous Ibadat instead of spending Ramadan’s 29 or 30 days stuck in the kitchen. (And by the way, brothers, helping out with cooking or cleaning was a practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him-maybe this is a way you can increase your Sawab [rewards] this month).

Reason 5 : You can plan a Iftar at your home

You may have eaten fantastic Iftars at friends’ homes last year. This year, open your doors. There is blessing in feeding a fasting person other than yourself and your family. Planning in advance gives you the luxury of calling friends over the month before and setting a date, so you can “grab” them before others get an opportunity to.  InsyaALLAH!

Reason 6: To make a travel schedule

Do you know a fellow Muslim in your neighborhood who wants to get to the mosque for Tarawih every night but doesn’t have a car? Or do you look at your work schedule and realize you have to work overtime near the end of Ramdan, so your family will miss out on Tarawih at the mosque the last ten nights of Ramadan? Planning in advance helps you work out your daily or weekly travel schedule to attend Tarawih prayers at the mosque, or even a trip for Iftar at a friend’s place who may life farther away. It also helps ease the burden of transportation in winter. Maybe you can start a car pool? Since you have the time before Ramadan begins, you can work this out with neighbors and friends.

Reason 7: To do good at high Sawab times

Being generous is definitely an Islamic merit, but being generous in Ramadan is even more highly rewarded. Match Ibadat with specific times that carry more reward. Prepare to do I'tikaf, increase asking ALLAH for forgiveness in the last ten nights of Ramadan. Plan to give increased Sadaqa this month. Plan to visit that relative you may have not seen for months, if not years. Thinking about and arranging to do these things and finding other ways of gaining the pleasure of ALLAH in Ramadan will Insha Allah help you benefit more from it.

Reason 8: You can squeeze in Eid shopping

Planning in advance helps you think about all of those things you wanted to do in time for the end of Ramadan or Eid last year but couldn’t. Maybe you wanted to go Eid shopping for gifts for family and friends in the last week of Ramadan but were too busy with the last ten nights of Ramadan. No problem. This year, you decide to go in the third week of Ramadan instead.

Reason 9: You can plan Da'wah activities during Ramadan

Some Muslims have gone to soup kitchens and made meals during Ramadan, while they were fasting. Not only will, InsyaALLAH, they be rewarded, but this is a great Da'wah opportunity to explain what Ramadan and Islam are about. Planning in advance for such an activity gives you the time to call up a soup kitchen in your area, explain what you want to do, and get your act together. You can also plan school Da'wah activities in Ramadan by planning in advance, by meeting with the principal or teacher beforehand.

Satu hari beliau
bertemu seorang imam tua ditempatnya.

Pemuda: Pak imam apakah boleh menjawab
pertanyaan-pertanyaan saya?

Pemuda: Pak imam yakin?

Pemuda (sambil menahan sakit) : Kenapa pak

Pak Imam : Bagaimana rasanya tamparan saya?

Pak Imam : Bagaimana rasanya tamparan saya?

Murabbi Cinta, Seorang Nabi

“Kepalaku!” kata Aisyah.

Baginda Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam dan Aisyah radhiyallaahu ‘anha baru sahaja pulang daripada menziarahi perkuburan al-Baqi’ lewat malam tadi.

Kepala Aisyah sakit berdenyut-denyut.
 Baginda menyedarinya.

“Bahkan kepalaku juga wahai Aisyah. Oh kepalaku!” kata Baginda sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Kepala mereka berat.

“Janganlah engkau bersusah hati wahai Aisyah.

HARI-HARI TERAKHIR

Masruq meriwayatkan daripada Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anha:
Tatkala Baginda sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam gering, kesemua isteri Baginda berada di sisi. Tiada seorang pun yang tercicir antara mereka. Ketika mereka berhimpun, anakanda kesayangan Baginda sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, Fatimah radhiyallahu ‘anha datang berjalan.

Aku menangis…

Aku ketawa”

Sesungguhnya…
Fatimah radhiyallahu ‘anha benar-benar kembali kepada Allah, menuruti pemergian ayahandanya enam bulan selepas kewafatan Baginda sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. Benarlah beliau ahli keluarga pertama Baginda yang pergi. Dan benarlah kalam utusan Allah… sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam!

DETIK SEMAKIN HAMPIR

Badan Baginda sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam semakin panas.

Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anha meneruskan catatannya:
Aku melihat sendiri Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam mendepani kematian Baginda.

[Al-Ahzaab 33: 56]

Kami rindukanmu.
Murabbi cinta!

Motivation through Him..

Open Your Eyes

Look around yourselves
Can't you see this wonder
Spreaded infront of you
The clouds floating by
The skies are clear and blue
Planets in the orbits
The moon and the sun
Such perfect harmony

Let's start question in ourselves
Isn't this proof enough for us
Or are we so blind
To push it all aside..
No..

We just have to
Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look bright to see the signs
We can't keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

Look inside yourselves
Such a perfect order
Hiding in yourselves
Running in your veins
What about anger love and pain
And all the things you're feeling
Can you touch them with your hand?
So are they really there?

Lets start question in ourselves
Isn't this proof enough for us?
Or are we so blind
To push it all aside..?
No..

We just have to
Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look bright to see the signs
We can't keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

When a baby's born
So helpless and weak
And you're watching him growing..
So why deny
Whats in front of your eyes
The biggest miracle of life..

We just have to
Open our eyes, our hearts, and minds
If we just look quiet we'll see the signs
We can't keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

Open your eyes and hearts and minds
If you just look bright to see the signs
We can't keep hiding from the truth
Let it take us by surprise
Take us in the best way
(Allah..)
Guide us every single day..
(Allah..)
Keep us close to You
Until the end of time..

Allah..
You created everything
We belong to You
Ya Robb we raise our hands
Forever we thank You..
Alhamdulillah..

Subuh

“ Tadi... ,” kata Subuh dengan sayu.

“ Aku baru sahaja melintasi satu tempat. Kucari tempat persinggahan.

“ Subuh, usah kau pedulikan mereka. Bukankah aku menyambutmu dengan penuh rasa kegembiraan?.”

Subuh mengangkat mukanya seolah-olah teringat sesuatu.

AIRMATA TANGISAN,” pinta Subuh.

“ Subuh... ,” seruku lagi bila melihat Subuh bersiap untuk pergi.

“ Sudikah kau menziarahiku lagi esok hari?”

“ InsyaALLAH,” jawab Subuh.

“ Bukankah aku kekasih yang kau rindui?”

Subuh berangkat dengan lambat tetapi tetap.

“ Assalamualaikum.” seru Subuh.

“ Waalaikumussalam.” jawabku kembali.

How should a Muslimah treat her sisters in Islam?

1. She loves them for the sake of ALLAH :

This is a love untainted by any worldly interests or ulterior motives. True sisterly love is a relationship whose purity is derived from the light of Islamic guidance (Dr. Muhammad A. al-Hashimi). It is a bond that links a Muslims to her sister regardless of geographical origins, ethnicity, skin color, hair form, eye shape, or language. (It is) a bond based upon faith in ALLAH (subhaanahu wa ta’aala) Who is greater than all our little petty divisions.

“The Believers are but a single brotherhood….” [Al-Hujuraat 49:10]

A love which is an expression of the sweetness of faith: “There are three things that whoever attains them will find the sweetness of faith: if ALLAH and His Messenger (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)are dearer to him than anyone else; if he loves a person solely for the sake of ALLAH; if he would hate to return to kufr after ALLAH has rescued him from it, as much as he would hate be thrown into the Fire.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

So this is not love for the sake of status, notoriety, or fame. It is a love that requires a clean heart, a light heart, a soft and pliable heart. In the hadeeth of Mu’adh reported by at-Tirmidhi, the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “ALLAH said: ‘Those who love one another for My glory, will have minbars of light, and the Prophets and martyrs will wish that they had the same” [hasan saheeh hadeeth]

This kind of love is the only way to eliminate hatred, jealousy, and rivalry from peoples hearts.

2. She shows them kindness, faithfulness, and equity :

The importance of kindness is mentioned hundreds of times in the Qur'aan! Islam instills in its followers the characteristic of kindness and faithfulness towards one’s friends, including the parents of one’s friends. The seerah is filled with examples of kindness and faithfulness among the early believers. If you remember the story concerning our mother ‘Aaisha (radiallahu ‘anhaa) who used to become upset with Rasoolullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) because he used to extend himself to the friends of his late first wife, Khadijah (radiallahu ‘anhaa). He (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) spoke highly of Khadijah (radiallahu ‘anhaa) and sometimes he would slaughter a sheep and send a large portion to Khadijah’s friends.

3. She meets them with a warm, friendly, smiling face :

In Muslim it is reported our beloved Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not think little of any good deed, even if it is just greeting your brother with a cheerful countenance.”

The act of smiling actually stimulates the secretion of certain chemicals (endorphins) that increase our sense of well-being.

“Your smiling at your brother is an act of charity (sadaqah)” [reported by at-Tirmidhi who said it is hasan gharib)

4. She is sincere towards them

Sincerity is one of the most basic principles of Islam and a central foundation of the faith. Without sincerity, a sister’s faith is invalid and her Islam is worthless. When the first believers gave allegiance (bay’ah) to the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), they pledged their sincerity. This is confirmed by the statement of Jarir ibn ‘Abdullah (radiallahu ‘anhu): “I gave allegiance to the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) and pledged to observe regular prayer, to pay zakat and to be sincere towards every Muslim.” [Agreed upon]

Furthermore, our beloved Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “None of you truly believes until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself” [Agreed upon] It is impossible to do this without sincerity.

5. She does not forsake or abandon her sister(s) :

The religion that calls for love, continued contact, and mutual affection is also the religion (Islam) that has forbidden sisters in faith to hate or abandon one another. It is reported by al-Bukhari in al-Adab al-Mufrad: “No two people who love one another for the sake of ALLAH, or for the sake of Islam, will let the first minor offense of either of them come between them.”

This hadith and others tell us that prolonged estrangement from our sister is not acceptable. The longer the estrangement lasts (3 days or more) the greater the sin and the more severe is the punishment that will befall the two who are split by the dispute. Reconciliation among sisters-in-Islam is encouraged and the better of the two (disputing) Muslimahs is the first to give salaam.

The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “There should be no breaking off of ties, no turning away from one another, no hating one another, and no envying one another. Be brothers, as ALLAH has commanded you.” [Muslim]

The great Sahabi Abu Darda (radiallahu 'anhu) used to say: “Shall I not tell you about something that is better for you than charity and fasting? Reconcile between your brothers, for hatred diminishes reward.” (reported by al-Bukhari in Ad-Adab al-Mufrad)

6. She is tolerant and forgiving towards them :

Sometimes it seems so easy to become angry with our sisters in Islam about just about anything. However, the true Muslim restrains her anger and is quick to forgive her sister, and does not see any shame in doing so. Rather, she recognizes this as a good dead that can bring her closer to ALLAH and earn her His love which He bestows only on those who do good:

“…[those] who restrain anger and pardon (all) men – for ALLAH loves those who do good.” [Al-‘Imran 3:134]

7. She does not gossip about or backbite them :

The believing woman does not gossip about or backbite her sisters in Islam. She knows that gossip is haraam as the Qur’an says:

“…. Nor speak ill of each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, you would abhor it. But fear ALLAH: for ALLAH is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.” [al-Hujuraat 49:12]

The believing woman restrains her tongue and speaks only good of her sister, remembering the words of the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam): “Do you know what gossip is? They said, ‘ALLAH and His Messenger know best.’ He said, ‘It is your saying about your brother something which he dislikes.” He was asked, ‘What do you think if what I say about my brother is true?’ He said, ‘If it is true then you have gossiped about him and if it not true then you have slandered him.” [Muslim]

Being two-faced is an aspect of this. In fact the two-faced person is regarded as being one of the worst people in the sight of ALLAH.

Our beloved Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “You will find among the worst people in the sight of ALLAH on the Day of Resurrection, the one who is two-faced, who approaches some people in one way and others in another.” [al-Bukhari & Muslim]

8. She avoids arguing with them, making hurtful jokes, and breaking promises :

It is reported by al-Bukhari in al-Adab al-Mufrad that our Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: “Do not argue with your brother, do not joke excessively with him, do not make a promise to him then break it.”

Arguing leads to further misunderstanding, rigidity, and is an easy opening for Iblis (Shaitan); hurtful jokes often lead to hatred and loss of respect; and breaking promises upset people and destroys love. We need to learn to be able to “back off” to not have the final say, to sometimes just “agree to disagree” until the matter can be resolved by someone with more knowledge. The kind of posturing and gesticulation that poisons so many disagreements is leftover jahl (ignorance). We need to run away from this.

9. She is generous and self-sacrificing :

The Muslimah prefers friendship with a Muslim over the non-Muslim. The bond of common belief forms the foundation for generosity, a basic Islamic characteristic. We are entreated by ALLAH (subhaanahu wa ta’aalaa) to be

“… lowly [or humble] with the believers, mighty against the kafirun …” [al-Maidah 5:54]

10. She prays for her sisters in their absence :

The sincere Muslimah who truly likes for her sister what she likes for herself does not forget to pray for her sister in her absence. This is a practical demonstration of sisterly love and care. A sincere, pure prayer of this kind is the kind most quickly answered.

It is reported by al-Bukhari in al-Adab al-Mufrad that “The quickest prayer to be answered is a man’s supplication for his brother in his absence.”

11. She encourages her sisters in all that is pleasing to ALLAH

Menjemput Bidadari

Bila yakin telah tiba
teguh di dalam jiwa
kesabaran menjadi bunga

Sementara waktu berlalu
penantian tak berarti sia-sia
saat perjalanan adalah pencarian diri

Laksana Zulaikha jalani hari
sabar menanti Yusuf sang tambatan hati
di penantian mencari diri
memohonkan ampunan dipertemukan

Segera kan kujemput engkau bidadari
bila tiba waktu kutemukan aku
ya Ilahi Rabbi keras ku mencari diri sepenuh hati
teguhkanlahku di langkah ini
di pencarian hakikat diri
dan izinkan kujemput bidadari
tuk bersama menuju MU meniti hari..

Kini yakin telah tiba
teguh di dalam jiwa
kesabaran adalah permata

Dan waktu terus berlalu
penantian tak berarti sia-sia
saat perjalanan adalah pencarian diri

Laksana Adam dan Hawa
turun ke bumi terpisah jarak waktu
di penantian mencari diri
memohonkan ampunan dipertemukan

Bidadari telah menyentuh hati
teguhkan nurani
bidadari telah menyapa jiwa
memberilan makna
